一、结构
（一）主语+be+
1.陈述句肯定式（肯定句）：主语+be（am,is,are）+，其中be（am,is,are）用法口诀如下：
I是am；
you是are；
is连着he,she,it；
单数用is,复数全用are。
2.陈述句否定式（否定句）：主语+be（am,is,are）not+，其中amnot没有缩写形式；isnot缩写为isn't；arenot缩写为aren't。
3.一般疑问句：Be（am,is,are）+主语+？其中Iam的一般疑问句常常变为Areyou?Yes，主语+be.（肯定回答）No,主语+benot.（否定回答）

主语（不是三单）+动词（原形）+
陈述句肯定式（肯定句）：主语（不是三单）+动词（原形）+
陈述句否定式（否定句）：主语（不是三单）+don't+动词（原形）+
一般疑问句：Do+主语（不是三单）+动词（原形）+？Yes，主语+do.（肯定回答）No，主语+don't.(否定回答）
主语（三单）+动词（三单）+
主语三单即主语的第三人称单数形式；动词三单即动词的第三人称单数形式。动词三单的变化规则：
①一般情况下在动词后加s。
②以s,x,sh,ch,o结尾的动词在后面加es。
③以辅音字母+y结尾的动词，把y变为i，再加es。
*例外的需要特殊记忆：be--is；have--has
陈述句肯定式（肯定句）：主语（三单）+动词（三单）+
陈述句否定式（否定句）：主语（三单）+doesn't+动词（原形）+
一般疑问句：Does+主语+动词（原形）+？Yes，主语+does.（肯定回答）No,主语+doesn't.（否定回答）
二、用法
1.表示经常性的、习惯性的、反复发生的动作。常常和表示时间的频率副词often,always,usually,sometimes,never,everyday等连用。如：Igetupatsixo'clockeveryday.
2.表示现在的状态，也可以用一般现在时态。如：Thelibraryisontherightoftheclassroombuilding.
3.在由when,before,after，assoonas,until，if等引导的时间状语从句或条件状语从句中，用一般现在时代替将来时。如：Ifitiscloudytomorrow,we'llstayathome.
4.表示客观事实或普遍真理，用一般现在时。如：Theearthgoesroundthesun.
